Peach, Raspberry and Quinoa Purée

This is a fun and fruity combination purée that your baby will love. Raspberries and peaches are rich in nutrients and both fruits are an excellent source of vitamin C, which is needed for growth and healthy skin. 

The quinoa adds a nice texture in this recipe, so for younger babies not able for texture, simply blend in a food processor for a smoother consistency. This recipe is perfect stored in 2oz pots for when you’re out and about. 

Cook time: 15 minutes
Portions: 6 x 30ml / 1oz  

Ingredients
1 ripe peach, peeled and chopped
90g raspberries 
100g quinoa

Method

  1. Add the quinoa and water to a saucepan and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat and add the peach. Simmer for 10 minutes. Add the raspberries, and cook for 5 minutes further, until the quinoa is cooked.
  2. Mash and serve as is or blend for a younger baby. 

Weaning and Storage6-7 months – Smooth and slightly thicker puree, no lumps
7-8 months – Thicker puree with increased texture
8-9 months – Minced and mashed with soft lumps.9-12 months – Minced and finely chopped.
