Plum and Ginger Yoghurt

This naturally sweet plum and ginger yogurt recipe is perfect for the whole family, including your weaning baby. It is great as a delicious healthy snack at home or on the go, and makes a great topping for Muesli or Homemade Pancakes! 

This recipe is also perfect stored in our flask for when you’re on the go. Simply pour in 1, 2 or 3oz pots before putting in flask for baby and it will keep the yogurt cold for up to 6 hours.

Cook time: 10 minutes
Makes: 3 baby portions

Ingredients
1 tbsp fresh ginger, peeled and chopped
5 ripe plums, stoned
4 tbsp natural full fat yogurt

Method

  1. Place ginger and plums in a saucepan.
  2. Add 2-3 tbsp of water and cook gently for 5-10 minutes until the plums are soft.
  3. Once cooked, transfer the ginger and plums to a food processor and blend to desired consistency.
  4. To serve, mix equal amounts of plum mix and yoghurt.

Weaning and Storage
6-7 months – Smooth and slightly thicker puree, no lumps
7-8 months – Thicker puree with increased texture
8-9 months – Minced and mashed with soft lumps.
9-12 months – Minced and finely chopped.
